Neal Price
Bass Guitar - Vocals
I grew up listening to tales of my grandfather, the late Frank Price. He was a fiddler in the days of the barndances in our area. I was also influenced by my uncles, the late C. Gene and Vincent Price, and William Johnson. They played in various groups, and on Sunday morning radio shows on the local A.M. radio stations. I have fond memories of them and myself on the holidays singing old traditionals and passing around an old acoustic guitar.
I've been playing music with Tom and Kathy Diemer for close to twenty-five years now. I consider myself blessed to have played music with three generations of Diemer family. Tom and I used to jam with his father, the late Donavon (Don) Diemer. Now I am playing music with his children. Tom's my best friend and we have a rare and special bond. Todd Wachtman, our percussionist is a great performer and compliment to our group. He brings a whole new perspective to how we percieve a song, and fresh ideas on how to execute the music. I don't believe he realizes how good it is to have this, because it is so easy to fall into a "style rut," when everything gets stale. Lisa (big hair), always a joy to be around, but it does get a little difficult to keep up with her when she gets bouncing on that bench. Jeremiah Fleischman gives a new spin on rythm styling, and brings a level of spoken word to the group. Todd sets a different styling on percussion with his "laid back" satyle of drumming.
My wife Dee, and I have four daughters. Andrea, who is married to Mike Bump of bump-n-soundz.
Bobbi King & Rikki Berry. Lakota who is still at home. Also eight grandchildren.
It is my hope that someday one or more of them will follow in our family's rich musical heritage.
